Terms of Service
Effective date: August 16, 2026
These terms apply when you order from Home & Hydrangea, operated by King & Associates, LLC of Lake Ann, Michigan ("we," "us"). By placing an order you agree to them.
What we sell
Seasonal porch and home displays, made to order in three sizes. Every order includes delivery and on-site design and installation. End-of-season removal can be added at checkout. What's included is shown on each product page and confirmed in your order email.
Displays are made from natural, perishable material. No two are identical, and photographs on our site show representative work rather than the exact display you will receive. We build to the scale, palette, and style shown, using what is good and available that week.
Pricing and payment
Orders are paid in full at checkout. Michigan sales tax is calculated and added at checkout where applicable.
Prices may change between seasons; the price shown when you order is the price you pay. Delivery and setup are included in the price. Addresses outside our delivery area cannot be ordered online - email us before you order.
Scheduling
At checkout you choose a preferred delivery week. Weeks are allocated in the order they're booked and confirmed by text, usually within two business days.
A preferred week is a request, not a guaranteed appointment. We work in weeks rather than fixed times because weather and living material don't cooperate with a rigid schedule. We will always tell you before we move a delivery.
Access to your property
By ordering, you authorize us to enter the property at the delivery address to deliver, install and — where purchased — remove your display. You confirm that you are permitted to have this work done at that address. If you rent, or an HOA, condo association, or landlord has rules about exterior decoration, that's yours to clear before we arrive.
Tell us at checkout about gates, codes, dogs, uneven steps, loose railings, or anything else we should know. If we can't safely access the property, we'll contact you to reschedule.
Installation and your property
Displays are freestanding. We do not drill, nail, screw, hang from gutters, or attach anything to siding, railings, doors, or trim. Nothing is fastened to your house.
We do not perform electrical work of any kind, in any season. No cords, timers, or wiring. Displays may include flameless, battery-operated candles, which require no outlet.
We place displays on existing surfaces — steps, porches, walkways — as they are. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions such as loose stone, rotted decking, cracked concrete, or unstable railings, and we may decline to place heavy containers where we judge a surface unsafe. We'll tell you if that happens and work out an alternative.
Once installed, we are not responsible for damage caused by weather, animals, or other people.
Living and perishable material
Mums are plants. With regular watering they hold through the season; without it they will not, and that part is yours. Ordinary weathering of pumpkins, gourds, and cut material over a Michigan autumn is expected and is not a defect. A hard freeze may soften thinner-skinned pumpkins. This is normal.
If something is wrong
If your display arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, text us a photograph within 48 hours and we will repair or replace it at no charge.
Cancellations and refunds
More than seven days before your scheduled delivery week: cancel for a full refund.
Within seven days: materials have been purchased, and we refund 50%.
Changing size up or down before we build is free — just ask, and we'll settle the difference
either way.
We can't accept returns of completed displays, because every one is made to order from perishable material. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within five business days.
Ownership
Once delivered, all materials including containers belong to you — unless your order includes end-of-season removal, in which case we take them at removal.
End-of-season removal
Where purchased, removal happens between November 1 and November 30, on a day we arrange with you. We load the display and compost what can be composted.
If we cannot reach you, or cannot access the property, after two attempts, the removal is considered delivered and is not refundable.
If you sell or move out of the property before removal, tell us — we'll arrange it with you rather than turn up at a stranger's house.
Photographs
We may photograph completed displays for our website and social media. We never publish street addresses or house numbers, and we don't name customers without asking. Tell us at any time before delivery and we won't photograph your property at all.
Weather and events outside our control
Severe weather, supply failures, illness, vehicle breakdown, and similar events may delay delivery, installation, or removal. We'll contact you and reschedule. If we genuinely cannot fulfill your order, we'll refund it in full.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Michigan law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing here limits liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Grand Traverse County, Michigan.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
